Projects

Projects and research achievements of the Department of Technology: 

  •  L1, 6067-1669: The research project "The development of eye safe LIDAR transmission to control air pollution," where we are developing a portable, eye safe LIDAR, which detects the current pollution in an area (the reflection of rays in a cloud of dust particles) and the source of pollution at any given time. 
  • M1-0160: MIR CRP entitled "The importance of the Port of Koper in the logistic support of the Slovenian Armed Forces and allies" 
  • Participation in the international PHARE project: Phare CBC Slovenia / Italy 2002, entitled "Measurement of atmospheric pollution by aerosols PM 10" 
  • "The monitoring of environmental factors that adversely affect human health" and by the Department of Health of Koper in the normal course of public health at the regional level 
  • Cooperation with the Autorité Portuale from Venezia (Venetian harbor authorities) in developing measures to protect areas of old city centers and residential environments from excessive impacts of port activities and industrialization. 
  • Participation in international project IONAS (Ionian and Adriatic cities and ports Joint Cooperation) in the INTERACT program linking coastal cities along the Adriatic and the Ionian Sea, and ten harbor authorities: the main goal is to constructively address environmental issues of cities and ports and exchange of knowledge and experience in protecting the environment in coexistence with the city. 
  • Participation in the project Sedna: European Sediment Research Network in the processing and recycling of waste in the port area.

  • Participation in the program committee and organizing the International Conference: Complex objects visualization 2005, which was organized in collaboration with the University of Primorska, in cooperation with the Pascal Network of Excellence, and was held from 16 to 19November 2005 in Koper.
  • Leadership and coordination of domestic project, through targeted research program (CRP), Knowledge for Peace and Security from 2006 to 2010 with the working name "Research opportunities in the optimization of road traffic in terms of history and the risk of transport infrastructure due to natural and other disasters."
